Miracle In Cell No. 7’s PH Remake Joins The 2019 MMFF

VIVA Films will remake the most heartwarming and melodramatic Korean film of 2013, the Miracle in Cell No. 7.

Lee Yong-gu portrayed by Aga Muhlach, a mentally impaired man who is falsely accused of a crime and sent him to jail. Yong-gu has a daughter named Ye-sung portrayed by Xia Vigor then later portrayed by Bela Padilla, who is a law student and proves that her father is innocent. Padilla replaced Nadine Lustre in the said film.

Film Fest Fearless Forecast

Based on the trailer, Miracle in Cell No. 7 may get the major awards like MMFF Best Actor (Aga Muhlach or Joel Torre), Best Child Performer (Xia Vigor), Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award and Best Director. We can also consider JC Santos and Bela Padilla as the Best Supporting Actor and Actress. What do you think? We will see it on the Awards Night. The Supporting Casts

Miracle in Cell No. 7 also stars Joel Torre, JC Santos, John Arcilla, Jojit Lorenzo, Mon Confiado, and Soliman Cruz with the special participation of Mr. Tirso Cruz III.

Expectations and Comparisons

Some Filipino people may say that this is a “copycat” movie but please do not judge the content by comparing the original film. But we, the moviegoers, are expecting some twist and turns that suit our taste. As we have all said: “Expect the unexpected”.

This will be one of the most anticipated movies of 2019 after VIVA Films officially announced that Miracle in Cell No. 7’s Pinoy (Filipino) Remake showing on December 25, 2019 in all Philippine cinemas directed by Nuel Naval. Miracle in Cell No. 7 (Filipino Remake) is one of the official entries to the Manila Film Festival.
